This piece is the culmination of everything I love.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eA beautiful white cotton blouse made around the 80s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eIt features a lace stand-up collar, fine vertical pleats from the shoulders to the bust,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eand antique lace adorning those lines.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe back is simple cotton fabric, but like the front, it has a V-shaped yoke that conceals the shoulder seams.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe buttons are tiny, bean-sized plastic ones. These buttons are truly adorable and elegantly complement the overall vibe.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eIt has been years since I found such a perfect lace blouse; when I did, my mind went blank. Haha.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eNo matter how careful the craftsmanship or how high the quality of 100-year-old antique lace is,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003ethe lace itself is so delicate that simply wearing it becomes difficult. In fact, things I could wear ten years ago are sometimes unwearable now.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eRepairs are nearly impossible, so even if you want a delicate lace blouse, it’s quite a challenge...\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThis combination blouse clears up all those concerns.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eIt likely uses antique lace only on the chest, while the rest of the body was crafted in the 80s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe construction is wonderful in every detail, and since it wouldn't be suitable for mass production,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eand there are no tags, I believe it is likely handmade.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eA big, big hug to the maker.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eIt’s brilliant that they used guipure lace (likely from around the same era) for the stand-up collar where it touches the skin and sweat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eUnlike overly delicate antique pieces, it is sturdy, so it felt very reassuring when I actually tried it on.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe fit isn't too tight or too loose, with a comfortable amount of room around the neck.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eAlso, on the back of the stand-up collar, there are three transparent buttons that are hard to see. Even though the lace is soft, it holds its height beautifully without sagging. Just how much did they understand about this?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eOverall, the body width and armholes are generous, and the length is long, making for a roomy fit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThis is something that could never be achieved with an antique blouse; it’s comfortable and can be worn without extra care.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThere is very slight damage to the lace, but it is minimal and inconspicuous.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eOne could almost call it in perfect condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWow, I am truly amazed by how much thought went into every detail—understanding lace, clothing, and the human body.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThis is a piece that has truly moved my heart.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eI don't want to let it go... but please, enjoy it.
