The Ruhla brand logo and, barely visible below it, \"made in GDR\" are inscribed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\" class=\"p1\"\u003eRuhla is a manufacturer that existed in the former East Germany, founded in 1862, which produced iconic jump-hour watches and rugged watches with communist-era designs, but\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\" class=\"p1\"\u003eas far as I have researched, coming across a pop-style watch like this is quite rare.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\" class=\"p1\"\u003eMost of all, this amber plastic is eye-catching. I believe the material is Lucite.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\" class=\"p1\"\u003eA light, durable, and tintable hardened plastic often seen in mid-century lampshades and the like.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\" class=\"p1\"\u003eIt was commonly used for ornaments and accessories back then, and this luscious, clear quality is just irresistible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\" class=\"p1\"\u003eThe round plastic case framing the dial is quite large, and its thickness and cut are beautiful, so please take a look at the close-up photos.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\" class=\"p1\"\u003eThe strap is a soft, high-quality vinyl material, so it fits smoothly on the wrist.
