It’s a well-shaped puffer jacket with a cropped length and a slight flare towards the hem.
True to a high-end sports line, the zip work is top-tier, featuring a double front zipper and zippered pockets.
It includes a stowaway nylon hood in the back collar, designed with a Velcro neck closure and drawcords at the cheeks to cinch the head—it's a properly built piece. The sleeves are also fully lined.
At a glance, it’s just an impeccably clean, ultimate cool black garment that feels completely natural.
What’s interesting, though, is the interior: it features a waist belt equipped with four pockets—two on each side.
You sometimes see this type of feature on The North Face or more elaborate outdoor gear, but putting it on a puffer jacket like this is pure Prada Sports creativity.
Each pocket has a zipper, perfect for storing small essentials. There are also Velcro-secured inner chest pockets on both sides, bringing the total to six internal pockets, plus the two zippered pockets on the outside.
You can basically head out hands-free. It's a great feature, especially since carrying a bag while wearing a puffy jacket can be such a hassle.
The insulation is polyester, but it offers surprisingly high cold protection.
The day we shot this, it turned cold all of a sudden, dropping to -7°C.
Without even thinking, I was only wearing a polyester football shirt underneath, but I was actually perfectly fine.
If you layer it with a wool knit or thermal base layer, it’s an ideal midwinter outer that can handle sub-zero temperatures with ease.
I believe that when it comes to the ultimate simple, high-quality tech-wear in black nylon, it has to be Prada Sports. I love the look of a woman wearing something like this!
