A piece by an artist from Taxco, a region famous for its silver.
While there is information suggesting it is by a silversmith named J Soleto,
details are unknown. However, it bears the artist’s original signature.
Taxco is home to countless incredible, unsung silversmiths,
often called the "cradle of 10,000 anonymous silversmiths,"
where countless brilliant artisans have existed.
Since the early 1930s, they have created work freely,
with the sole teaching being to "establish one's own unique style."
Because of this, Mexican silver encompasses a vast diversity of styles,
but this traditional aesthetic reflects the influence of Spratling, the father of Taxco silver,
who established Mexican tradition and the innate sensibility of the Mexican people on the world stage.
