1960s Czechoslovak People's Army "Clouds" camouflage reversible jacket

Killer military gear!!

A while back, we brought in some camouflage items from the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, which existed from the mid-50s to 1990.

1950s Československá lidová armáda DUBÁKY camouflage trousers.

This time, it's a smock-style jacket, and of course, it's reversible; both sides feature independent pockets on the front. They are quite large, which I love, and the angle is perfect for keeping things from falling out.

This particular camouflage is commonly known as "clouds camouflage" because, as the name suggests, it looks like clouds.

We sourced this through a special channel exclusive to us.

This uniform was issued to the Czechoslovak People's Army. Explaining it in detail would take forever, so please check out the previous product page via the link above for more information.

Since it was our first time stocking it, the description there is quite long, but it’s very detailed.

We’ve since updated our information, and it turns out this "cloud camo" is a 1960s pattern; it seems there are about 5 or 6 camouflage patterns used by the Czechoslovak People's Army in total.

I’m not sure which number this one is, but what we know now is that the "Dubaky" pattern we stocked previously is the very first model.

This smock is truly, incredibly cool. The silhouette is exceptionally clean, and it has a drawcord at the hem, making it a vintage piece you can really have fun styling.

It’s no exaggeration to say it’s nearly impossible to source this item in the wild.

The fabric is superb—an old, high-quality, soft, and supple cotton.

There are some repairs here and there, but that only adds to its coolness.

Both sides have been repaired with patches, and even those patches are made from different fabrics adopted by the Czechoslovak People's Army from the same era.

It really tickles the fancy of any enthusiast. Haha.

In Europe, this fabric alone is traded at a high price, so when it comes to a finished garment, they are truly impossible to find, and even if you do find one, they often won't sell it.

I honestly understand that sentiment; I don't want to sell this either. If I could, I'd keep it for ourselves to enjoy wearing.

The size is roughly a men's L-XL, and with a shorter length, it can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of gender.
