At first glance, it may just look like a plain black corduroy tailored jacket, but no, no, no.
For starters, the silhouette is incredibly beautiful; the forward-pitched sleeves, the shoulder area—I could go on forever. It looks stunning from every angle.
Since this is online, it’s a huge shame you can’t try it on, but if you did, you’d be knocked out instantly, no doubt about it.
The fabric is a thick, 100% cotton corduroy—I’m almost certain it’s from an old French hunting jacket—and the lining is cotton herringbone. It’s far too luxurious. Haha.
Both are high-quality vintage cotton; this is truly incredible.
On top of that, the welt pockets at the waist are trimmed in leather; it’s over-the-top. Haha.
Vintage fabrics are just better; even at 100% cotton, it’s completely different from modern stuff.
I’ve seen countless tailored jackets in my time, but this one is in a league of its own.
A "wild" vintage piece with absolutely no tags—it gets me so excited.
It’s just too cool, a garment for the true connoisseur.
