It's been a while since we've had M51 overpants in stock.
They really are great pants, in every single way.
Up until now, we’ve always stocked them in deadstock condition, but this pair has been well-worn. The paint splatters really give it a great atmosphere, and this cotton-nylon fabric has also aged beautifully with use.
This fabric is incredible; it’s amazing that the U.S. Army was making pants with such high-quality material back in the 50s. Even 75 years later, they’re still going strong, and above all, they look incredibly modern. haha
It’s a thin but high-density, tough material; it has a crisp, dry texture but is soft and comfortable to wear.
The cool aluminum zipper is also the best.
The two pockets at the waist are pass-throughs, but there are two large cargo pockets on the thighs and one in the back, making them very functional.
The waist can be cinched tight with the drawstring.
We love wearing these pants all year round. Since it's cold right now, I’m actually wearing them as overpants, but in the spring and summer, I often wear them on their own. They’re easy to move in and are a personal favorite.
It's a vintage piece that makes fashion fun, as you can enjoy various styling options—like deciding what shoes or tops to pair them with—to change up the look.
