1960s East German NVA Blumentarn Camo Sniper Jacket.

It’s incredibly cool, so please take a good look at the photos.

This is a sniper jacket issued to the East German National People's Army around the 1960s.

It’s known as the NVA, and that acronym is stamped on the inside of the jacket.

This was the military run by the East German government, which existed until 1990 when the Berlin Wall fell.

Following the fall of the Wall, the NVA was disbanded and integrated into the West German military, leading to what we have today.

That’s a rough overview of the details.

In any case, this is a rare piece, and this camouflage is just too cool.

It’s called "Blumentarn" camo, as mentioned in the title.

Apparently, it means "flower camo" in German, and it’s one of the special camouflage patterns actually used by the German military.

Now that it’s pointed out, I can see how it looks a bit like a floral pattern. Above all, it’s a truly tasteful camouflage pattern—it’s awesome.

I’m not entirely sure if it’s true, but according to information I sourced from a contact in Germany, it wasn't widely distributed and was used only on a limited basis.

Hearing things like that really gets me excited! haha

The visual impact is outstanding, but putting it on is another level entirely.

The oversized hood and this silhouette. I initially thought it might be too big, but when I actually tried it on, the "slouchy" fit felt surprisingly comfortable and great.

There aren't any pockets on the front, but there is one giant one on the inside. It’s not designed in a way that things would fall out easily, so it’s actually quite convenient. Please check the photos.

The fabric quality is great, and the silhouette looks cool from every angle—it’s a piece of military gear I sincerely recommend. Plus, it’s honestly incredibly difficult to source.

For that reason, I highly recommend it.

I have to wonder, why are the uniforms of this "People's Army," not to mention the camouflage from the Czechoslovak era, so incredibly cool?
