I was just lucky this time. This is a 1960s German watch by Laco.
Founded in 1925, it’s a manufacturer with deep history, even known for producing pilot watches for the German military during the war.
Beyond their impressive history, I was moved by their high level of technology and quality.
It really is incredible that, despite being about 60 years old and created in an era with far less watchmaking knowledge than we have today, such a tiny watch still runs with pinpoint accuracy.
Laco seems to be very popular among vintage collectors, but it’s rare to find something like this from the 60s.
I’ll say it again: you really don’t come across these delicate pieces in such good working order very often.
While the leather strap may have been replaced, it is itself vintage and matches perfectly. There is a German stamp on the back.
