I’ve sourced and stocked many tank jackets over the years, but this one is the undisputed number one.
I want it so badly, truly.
It was originally black, but it has likely been bleached, and the way it has faded since then is just too cool!
The fabric is like moleskin—for all intents and purposes, it’s moleskin.
It’s an amazing fabric; old cotton is the best.
It’s been worn quite a bit, but the construction and the fabric are so good that it looks completely unfazed. It’s in a condition where you could wear it tough every single day starting tomorrow without any worries.
Russia is such an incredible country. Haha.
When it comes to vintage items, I personally think they are in a league of their own. This is a bit of a digression, but there’s a flea market and a furniture store I often visit to buy things for my home, and there’s a high probability that I’ll find something cool, ask the staff, and find out it’s from the old Soviet Union. Other things I’ve bought at random often turn out to be Russian, too—plus, their cars are cool. The cars the KGB used to ride in are too cool, so please look them up if you have the time. Haha.
