Black party goes on!
During my recent visit to Japan, I held a "black party." For some reason, this one favorite piece remained, so I brought this 70s black waffle jumpsuit back with me to Prague.
Wow, it is something else. It is truly adorable.
It’s made of a special fabric—a soft, see-through waffle knit that covers the whole body.
It’s incredible enough that this is a vintage piece, but considering the fashion trends of the time, creating it in a solid black color was quite bold. Maybe even too bold.
I inherited it from a stylish grandmother in Paris who used to work as a stylist.
I thought it was French, but when I found a small tag on the waist, it turned out to be Union Made (American-made)!
The stretchy waffle knit follows the lines of your body without feeling tight or restrictive.
I also recommend unzipping the front and tying the top part around your waist to wear it as pants.
At the pop-up, many people asked me what they should wear underneath it. I paired mine with a camisole and leggings, but I think you could even go for a daring look with just lingerie.
Because it’s sheer and contours to your body, it’s a glamorous party outfit despite being a solid black.
It will beautifully brighten up you and your surroundings for any occasion—I honestly think you could wear this to the Cannes Film Festival as is.
Personally, I’d love to see BLACKPINK wear it. Haha.
This is a piece you will likely never come across in vintage stores again.
