1970s wool pile & knit blouson

The combination of wool pile and knit is just too cute.

A vintage kid's blouson from the 1970s.

It is, above all, incredibly warm. So fluffy.

Imagine a thick wool knit, then picture it even thicker than that.

Even the label with the child-like lion is absolutely charming.

The outer pile is 100% wool,

and the textured, bumpy wool curls look cozy as well.

The knit sections are 65% wool and 35% viscose,

and thanks to the viscose, it doesn't feel itchy around the neck, which is a nice touch.

The stand collar is tall enough to cover your mouth,

but it can also be folded down like a shirt collar, which looks fresh.

It has a short blouson length and looks compact,

but unless you're wearing an exceptionally thick or chunky knit underneath, there is plenty of room to layer.

Wear a light base layer like Heattech plus a knit underneath, and this on top,

and you'll easily be able to get through the coldest winter days.

Winter-ready vintage blousons are hard to come by,

and it’s particularly difficult to find them in women’s sizes, no matter how much you want one.

I was so lucky to come across such a cute piece in a kid's size that just happens to fit a woman well, and in such great condition, too.
