this piece is also by a French silversmith, dating from the 60s to 70s.

The dynamic, lifelike twisting of the rope

is a masterpiece that I believe could only be created by French artisans, a culmination of intricate engraving techniques.

Over the long years, the grooves of the rope have oxidized into a dark patina, giving it an even more three-dimensional and profound expression.
