A 1970s French 800 silver wristwatch.
The unique chain features a mid-century pop pattern that feels true to the era; it's so lovely I almost want to keep it just to wear as a bracelet.
The dial is a white-silver color, with black letters and numbers in a beautiful font.
The black bead on the crown is also irresistibly stylish. Everything about it is perfect.
Silver watches are quite expensive and hard to find, and while this price point is not standard for my shop's inventory, I loved it so much that I purchased it in Paris this spring.
Because of that, the price is set a bit higher, but I believe it is a piece worth the investment.
Incidentally, the chain is currently on the longer side, suitable for a men’s size, but
removing two links will size it down to fit a woman's wrist of about 14cm.
It is a simple structure, so any jewelry repair shop should be able to do it quickly and inexpensively.
This is a mechanical, hand-wound watch using the crown on the side of the dial.
Since I bought it, it has been running reliably without losing time.
You can use it by winding the crown fully once a day and setting the time.
Much like vintage sneakers, watches are like living things—if you take good care of them, they will run well and last a long time.
Even though it is running well now, since it is an old piece, it may eventually encounter issues,
but I hope you will love it enough to have it overhauled if that time comes.
It will likely have stopped by the time it arrives,
so please wind it fully, pull the crown out to set the time, and
if possible, wind it slowly until full once a day at the same time.
Winding it frequently is not good for its durability,
so please stick to "once a day," "at the same time," and "wind until it stops"!
Once you get used to it, it becomes a habit; I keep mine on the kitchen table and wind it every morning. haha
