This is a mechanical, hand-wound watch using the crown on the side of the dial.
I’ve been winding it at the same time every day since I bought it to observe its performance,
and it has been running reliably with almost no deviation since day one.
I personally love wearing antique hand-wound watches;
it’s interesting how they might lose a little time at first, but with daily winding, they strangely start to keep time perfectly.
Watches are like living things, much like old sneakers; if you treat them well, they’ll run better and last longer.
It will likely be stopped when it arrives,
so please wind it fully, pull out the crown to set the time,
and if possible, wind it fully and slowly at the same time every day.
Winding it in short, frequent bursts is not good for durability, so please wind it completely once a day.
Just remember: "once a day," "at the same time," and "wind it all the way."
It becomes a habit once you get used to it; I keep mine on the kitchen table where it’s easy to see and wind it every morning. Haha.
