It features a design of two fish skeletons elegantly circling the neck. It is very substantial and has significant weight.
The heads meet in the center, and clear blue stones are set into the eyes.
At the back of the neck, the fins serve as the clasp, making it aesthetically pleasing,
and it is a secure clasp that clicks into place.
The bone segments of the skeleton are designed in a crescendo, gradually becoming smaller toward the fins.
Every single bone piece was crafted to perfectly compose this meticulously calculated design. Despite its bold appearance, the delicacy of the details is truly moving.
The fish heads at the front are realistically three-dimensional, and while the mouth areas are welded,
the high-hardness silver is thick, making it incredibly robust; it won't budge even with considerable force. It's hard to convey this in photos, though...
950 silver is rare—this is a first for TOTO—and
the higher the silver content, the greater the purity, resulting in a more beautiful luster and higher quality.
While higher purity is often said to make silver softer, this piece possesses exceptional hardness, likely due to the composition of the remaining 5% of material.
It is a piece of the highest quality Taxco silver, possessing both beauty and strength. And the craftsmanship is superb.
By the way, you might think these fish bones were commonly made in Mexico, but that is not the case.
While I have found ones where the bones are connected by chains, or brooches, I have never found this identical piece.
In fact, I spent a night in Paris just to "capture" these two fish.
I fell in love with them at first sight after seeing photos, but the real thing far exceeded my expectations.
I could only say, "Wow..." (laughs). The quality and craftsmanship are overwhelming.
This is the first time I've worn jewellery weighing over 200g, and while there is certainly a sense of weight, it feels surprisingly comfortable and natural to wear.
I will never forget the thrill of seeing myself—or someone else—wearing it around their neck.
