1970s Rare East-Germany fur jacket.

A jacket that's just too gorgeous. lol

I didn't even know something like this existed; it's my first time seeing it. lol. It's a beautiful navy.

Vintage really runs deep... the history is amazing too.

First of all, it's incredibly warm. The exterior is a combination of acrylic fur (a fabric called Malimo voltex) and denim. Part of the front is denim, and everything else is high-quality acrylic fur. Even the hood is fur, with a denim lining inside. lol

The interior is lined with polyester and has a bit of padding.

This piece is from the 70s DDR (East Germany), and this fantastic fur fiber manufacturer started in East Germany in 1949. I couldn't pin down every detail, but just by touching and wearing it, you can tell it's synthetic fur, but it has a strange, addictive texture and high quality. lol. It's not a smooth, silky fur, but rather has a slightly coarse feel.

I guess you could say it’s hard to run your fingers through. lol

But because of that, it’s durable, warm, and produces this beautiful color.

Rest assured, the fur will exceed your expectations. lol

That was a long explanation of the fur, but overall, the construction is just wonderful. It’s simple, yet attractive. I have an image of East Germany at the time being somewhat austere, simple, and clean in its use of color because it wasn't exactly a wealthy environment. To put it bluntly, one might say the mood was a bit dark... but this piece doesn't have that feel at all, and for me personally, it's a memorable one.

There's a pocket on the inside, and I was so happy to see how huge it is.

The "wait, it's that big based on how the opening looks?!" phenomenon. lol

There’s a cute embroidery that says "Krout" in a very inconspicuous place on the bottom of the lining.

I believe the condition is deadstock. lol

The sizing allows for plenty of layering underneath; it has a wide body and a relatively short length, making it easy to balance. The hood is also quite large and provides great coverage.

It’s deeper and bigger than you’d think, so please check it out when it arrives. lol
