1972 Swiss Army

A 1970s Swiss Army Alpenflage field parka. These were issued to mountain troops at the time.

It features a high capacity and a huge number of pockets. There are even pockets on the inside back and at the waist. Photos will tell the story better than words ever could, so I've prepared plenty of them—please take a look!!

This particular jacket comes complete with its backpack, which is often missing. It’s incredibly rare to find a complete set like this. Haha.

The backpack attaches with hooks and can be removed. The main unit has a belt that passes through loops at the waist, allowing it to be secured around your hips. It’s just so cleverly engineered. Haha.

I have personally loved this jacket for a long time; isn't the design just amazing? Haha.

I think it would be terrifyingly expensive to try and have this manufactured in a factory today. Haha.

In fact, this jacket is the original inspiration for the C.P. Company goggle jacket, which is synonymous with the brand. Massimo Osti (the designer at the time), who was also a vintage military collector, sampled the pockets and other design elements from this Swiss Army jacket. It truly is a remarkable piece—a luxurious garment that could only have been realized because it was military-issue and not constrained by cost.

Also, the material is 100% cotton; it is very soft yet durable.

This batch is in smaller sizes, primarily for women.

Regarding the fit, after having a 167cm tall model try it on, I felt it fits a woman's size M-L.

Most women should be able to wear it comfortably and achieve the look they're after.

While it is a bit of a geeky piece of clothing, the design, material, and details are simply very cool, and the potential for incorporating it into modern fashion is immeasurable.

This is one piece I highly recommend.
