1978 Otakar Hrdlička Photography Exhibition

A visual poster for a 1978 exhibition by Czech photographer Otakar Hrdlička.

A powerful nature photograph of a tree dynamically rooted between large rocks.

Born in 1928, Hrdlička is a Czech photographer who has documented and conveyed the charm of local culture and landscapes.

It seems he published a photobook in 1993 featuring his travels to various hot spring resorts across the Czech Republic, and I would love to read it.

Beyond the brilliance of the photograph, I really love the design of this poster. I would love for this to be made into a T-shirt.

Although it looks black in the photos, the background color is charcoal gray—similar to a faded black color for a T-shirt.

The gray paper has a high-quality feel that is slightly textured yet smooth, while the photographic portion has a glossy finish.

I am drawn to the texture, which reflects the older printing techniques of the 70s—something not found in modern printed materials.

The condition is excellent, and it is made of a sturdy, thick paper material.

While we highly recommend framing it, you can also simply tape it to the wall if you prefer to avoid making holes.

For reference, we attached it by applying masking tape to the four corners and then placing double-sided tape on top.

It will be shipped in a sturdy, round cardboard tube.
