May 17, 1980 tapestry

A handmade wall hanging that I absolutely love.

A tapestry that looks like a beautiful painting of vibrant birds, trees, and flowers.

Everything about it, from the energetic use of color to the composition, is wonderful down to the last detail.

A hand-knitted rug signed and dated May 17, 1980.

I am very curious about where the scenery it depicts is from,

but although I purchased it in Berlin, Germany,

Berlin has many immigrants, and carpets and rugs from various countries end up there, so unfortunately, I don't know the details.

Looking back, this is the first time I have ever encountered a knitted tapestry instead of a pile one!

I highly recommend it as a way to welcome a new piece of art into your room.
