1980s Georges Rech jumpsuit

This is a piece I truly love and honestly didn't want to list.

A beautiful jumpsuit from the 80s by French designer Georges Rech.

First of all, finding a vintage black jumpsuit that is this stylish is a rare blessing. They really don't come around often.

The fabric is a wool-nylon blend with a soft, fuzzy texture, designed to look intentionally pilled.

It’s a sleeveless jumpsuit that comes with a belt, though it looks just as cute worn without one.

Pair it with a lovely blouse underneath for a perfect look for an event. It also looks absolutely incredible worn on its own.

The design is simple, featuring only one large pocket, yet it carries an undeniable, unique presence.

Honestly, I desperately want to keep this jumpsuit for myself. Haha.

It features a snap-button front and a zipper below the waist.

Founded in Paris in 1962, Georges Rech aimed for luxury ready-to-wear,

characterized by simple yet elegant designs that fuse masculine and feminine elements.

There is some sad news that the official website will be closing as of March 17th this year...

Since Georges sold the company to another firm in the 90s, it’s a completely different brand now, but

pieces from the time he was actually designing are rare, collectible archives that are hard to come by.

In 1986, he was the designer chosen to create the prestigious Air France uniforms, a role previously held by renowned designers such as Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, and Louis Feraud.

While it may not be a world-famous brand, that is exactly why I feel so happy whenever I encounter such rare masterpieces that you can only find through vintage.

It’s highly versatile and can be worn year-round (though it might be a bit warm in midsummer), so I highly recommend it.

I have taken photos both with and without the belt. I am 167cm tall; there’s a slight gathering at the hem without the belt, but since you can adjust the length with the belt, it is recommended for those from petite heights up to about 170cm.
