This magnificent piece I have here was likely designed for the American market.
The RN number is on the inner tag, and when I looked it up, it came up as BENETTON SERVICES CORPORATION, NEW YORK, 767 FIFTH AVE.
No wonder it has this design, material, and shape. It all makes sense now. Haha.
There is something about the "tension" of 80s Italy that is reminiscent of "America,"
and this piece, while military-inspired, carries a certain urban atmosphere.
It’s what you might call "Paninaro."
The length of the front zipper, the two concealed buttons at the top, the silhouette, and the color palette
—the material and this interpretation are distinctly, undeniably Italian.
The outer shell is cotton. I’m looking forward to how it will develop a nice patina as you wear it in.
And, surprisingly, the two pockets at the waist are actually faux. Haha.

I shot this wearing just a tee, and it was extremely warm. It was 5-6 degrees in Prague.
As for the weight, it’s not heavy at all, so you can wear it without any stress.
