An overwhelming and flawless tapered shape.
I truly think this is the first time I've ever seen such beautiful tapered pants.
To begin with, the fabric is absolutely amazing—a high-density, lustrous cotton—
and when I picked them up to see what they were, it was Katharine Hamnett.
Even among a sea of clothing, truly great pieces shine through just by the fabric alone. That was exactly the case here. Haha.
It is a British designer brand that is rarely ever found in France or Germany,
and one of the brands I’ve always admired for creating so many cool archives.
I was simply happy to have come across them,
but after wearing them for the first time, I think I finally understand why they are so highly regarded.
There’s an airy yet slim and supple three-dimensional quality when worn. A beautiful fullness around the thighs and hips without looking bulky. I really hope this gets across.
The side slits are also exquisite.
The color is navy, but with a slight hint of purple—what you might call an "eggplant navy."
Although the label says KATHARINE HAMNETT DENIM, these are not denim.
The tag says 28, but perhaps they have shrunk; the actual waist measurement is 64cm, around 25 inches, and the fit felt like a 26.
They look so good that even if they’re a tight fit, they are worth it, so I’m waiting for their "Cinderella"! If no one shows up, I’m keeping them! Haha.
