1980s Mouton jacket
1980s Mouton jacket
It’s been ages since I’ve seen this series.
It looks so cool, and the condition is great—it’s just perfect.
I’m happy that the shawl collar can be flipped up, or rather, I personally love that feature.
Wearing it open with a scarf in a "bubbly" 80s style looks stylish and cool.
I suspect this is a French piece; after many years of sourcing, most items in this shape turn out to be French.
For a prime example, Chevignon released the exact same design back then, offering various material combinations and colorways.
We actually stocked the exact same shape from
Chevignon at TOTO three years ago(?), so please take a look if you're interested.
This particular piece features a combination of genuine mouton and cotton fabric. The quality of the mouton is top-notch.
The cotton fabric feels like a high-density chino. The sleeves, lower pockets, back, and underside of the collar are made from that cotton material. The brown sections from the upper pockets upwards are leather.
It is lined with a slightly brushed cotton fabric.
In short, every fabric used is of high quality, and since it’s not entirely made of mouton, it doesn’t feel heavy.
This is definitely a wardrobe staple.
