1988 Czechoslovak school body measurement chart

It's been a while since our last school chart.

Today, we have three arriving at once, all featuring cool, sharp designs, so please take a look.

It seems these were elementary school teaching materials issued by the Czechoslovak Ministry of Education in 1988.

They are diagrams of body measurements, apparently used primarily for clothing construction in what would be equivalent to home economics classes in Japan.

Even so, the design is incredibly good, especially the colors.

Also, this time these three are a great size—not too big, but certainly not small; this exquisite size provides just the right amount of presence.

It is fascinating that these were teaching materials approved by the state at the time, and that the state itself no longer exists.

For those of us living in the Czech Republic, these are highly historical vintage pieces that we want to handle with care; plus, I love the craftsmanship of the Czechoslovak era for its unique coolness that doesn't exist today.

Thinking about how the revolution occurred just a few years later to form the current nation, these are truly choice items from an interesting era.

Highly recommended; I want to display one of them in my own home.
