1989 Václav Chochola Photography Exhibition Poster

An exhibition poster from 1989 featuring the work of renowned Czech photographer Václav Chochola.

He is famous for his portraits of celebrities, and is also known for photographing the painter Salvador Dalí.

This visual is a portrait taken by Chochola in 1946 (some sources say 1947), and the model is said to have been a student at an art school in Prague. The title of the work is "Maska."

The way the person’s face is covered in a dense, dot-like pattern is incredibly cool, and it's mind-blowing to think this is a photo from the 1940s.

Since we love face motifs, this large-format print with its high-impact, larger-than-life face is absolutely special!

For those wondering why it’s pronounced "Hohola" and not "Chochola":

In Czech, "Cho" is pronounced like "ho." By the way, "Co" is pronounced like "tso." (lol)

Although it is an old poster from '89, it is printed on sturdy paper and is in relatively good condition.

We highly recommend framing it, but if you don't want to drill holes in your wall, you can also just tape it up.

For reference, we applied masking tape to the four corners and then used double-sided tape on top of that to secure it.

It will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube.
