One of Stone Island's iconic models, the Formula Nylon jacket.
This material was frequently used from the early 90s through the mid-90s, around the time Massimo Osti left; the specific design on the back is unique to 1994, and it is simply beautiful.
It features a lightweight, high-density, tough nylon canvas material, with a transparent polyurethane film bonded to the interior.
I personally own and love three of these Formula Nylon jackets. They are incredibly durable, lightweight, and above all, easy to wear—that is what it really comes down to.
While the AW versions come with a liner, this specific piece is from the SS launch, so it is just the shell. It has a boxy silhouette with a very wide body and a shorter length.
It can be worn in both spring and autumn; the sizing is superb.
The color is navy, but it has a cool, overall faded look.
It is an incredibly authentic piece of Stone Island—it's truly cool, and the vibe it exudes is just too good.
There are no rips in the fabric, though there is one spot that has been repaired with darning. I suspect the previous owner loved it and wore it extremely often, which is a good thing.
The bottom snap button is missing, but it does not affect the wear or appearance.
It is just my personal opinion, but as I mentioned, I own three of these in my private collection, and all of them have had snaps come off. I wonder if this is common for Stone Island from this era? Haha.
Whether it’s simply a poor compatibility with the fabric, or because everyone wore them so hard that it was inevitable, I’m not sure, but that’s certainly the impression I have.
This has become a long description, but I highly recommend this Formula series, which is becoming increasingly rare to encounter these days.

Condition - Bottom snap button missing, darning repair in the center of the front, one snap button on the right sleeve is slightly weak, and there is overall fading, but there are no issues. I believe this is a true piece of "real" Stone Island archive. I have included photos of these details at the end.
