A tank suit from the 1940s-50s. Meant for tank crews!
This silhouette is of the era, also utilized by the British and Belgian armies.
I couldn't find specific details on this exact tank suit, and while British and Belgian models turned up in my research, I traced the zipper manufacturer to a French company that went out of business in the 60s, so it is likely of French military origin.
I came across this piece during last month's buying trip in France, and I was shocked by how cool it looked in person. Haha

It features two zips running from the collar to the ankles. It can be fully opened. Please see the photos!
There is a sturdy zip at the crotch, so bathroom breaks are smooth. Haha

I liked it so much that I wore it around for a day while in France for sourcing.
I was able to go about my day without any issues. If anything, it was incredibly convenient. And warm, too! Haha
As an aside, I was wearing this tank suit when I ate at a restaurant and got food poisoning from raw oysters, which wasted the rest of my buying trip. Haha
Of course, I’ve washed it once since returning to Prague!!
Diverging from the topic, there are 3 pockets on the inside.
There are 7 pockets on the outside. They are a very usable size. It's really convenient. Haha
The two waist pockets are pass-through style.
When you open the two front zips, there is an inner flap secured by 4 buttons, but one button is missing.
It doesn't affect wear and isn't visible, so it should be fine!
Actually, it might even be better not to button it up when wearing it. Haha
It is lighter than you might imagine, so I think it's stress-free.
The quality of the repairs is also tasteful... anyway, it's just cool.

I think it’s the right size for anyone from 165cm to 180cm.
You can still layer plenty underneath. Though it's plenty warm already!
It’s strange how military gear, designed at the time with practicality and climate in mind, ends up looking so modern.
