1940s Mont Saint-Michel

Moleskin work pants from Mont Saint-Michel in the 1940s.

They are from a quintessential French vintage brand.

The wonderful character of the moleskin, unique to this era, is excellent.

It’s been a while since I last saw one. Haha.

The patchwork detail is also incredibly tasteful.

Also, the size is wonderfully good. I was quite picky with this acquisition.

All the suspender buttons are present, making this a perfect pair.

You can adjust the size significantly with the back cinch, or use suspenders—both work well.

Personally, I also like the style of wearing clothing over the suspenders.

It’s almost like you can’t tell someone is wearing suspenders at a glance.

Suspenders really make the silhouette of the pants look great, so I highly recommend them.

I feel like it’s really cool to casually incorporate a piece like this into your styling right now.

Also, the prices for French items have been skyrocketing even in their home country lately, making them quite difficult to source, so this is definitely a piece I’d recommend from that perspective as well.
