50s-60s German green leather shooting jacket

A deep green shooting jacket.

From Germany, circa the 1950s-60s. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one this cool.

The leather quality is soft and comfortable to wear, and it has a sturdy, medium-ounce weight.

When worn with a medium-ounce knit underneath, there is still a little room, making it a very good size. Depending on what you wear underneath, you can enjoy this in almost every season except summer.

The sleeves have a three-dimensional forward-set shape, but this is how they were originally designed to accommodate shooting movements.

Since it was designed for shooting rather than fashion, it is very durable. The suede on the shoulders and elbows is also in good condition.

The leather has a wonderful character; it looks like it was worn, but also well-cared for.

It is difficult to find a shooting leather jacket that is this compact and easy to wear.

There are many pieces that look great in design but don't feel good when worn, so I was really pleased with this one. Haha.

There are some skipped stitches on the upper inside of the front hip pockets and at the back of the neck.

It’s not visible from the outside, so if it bothers you, you might want to have it repaired. Since it’s just skipped stitches and not a tear, it should be an inexpensive fix.

The lining is made of vintage cotton, which provides a decent amount of warmth.

It’s a fantastic piece of clothing, so I highly recommend it.

I recommend keeping your outfit simple.
