The source is Germany, and the design is very quintessentially German, though there were no hallmarks to identify a specific maker.
I love that it has an atmosphere that defies categorization by gender; in other words, I believe it holds an appeal that will resonate with anyone.
In fact, when I brought it to Nagoya, it was popular with people of all ages and genders.
I would have kept it if it fit me.
