A Czechoslovakian glass ashtray made in the 1950s.
It features a beautiful, vivid yellow color while remaining perfectly transparent. This is the craftsmanship typical of vintage Czech glass (Bohemian glass).
Beyond the color, the balanced sense of its textured design is also superb. With spots to rest a cigarette on all four sides and additional evenly spaced indentations, it almost resembles a geometric pattern. Combined with the transparent yellow, one could even call it a futuristic design.
The thick glass is also quite heavy and substantial; it can even handle being left on a balcony in the middle of winter. It won't budge at all.
Considering this weight and that the price includes shipping from the Czech Republic, I think it's quite a bargain.
