1940s-50s French black moleskin vest, deadstock

An unbelievable cutoff, haha.

But the more I look at it, the more I wear it, the more I think, "This is so cool." Haha.

First, for the important details: although there is no tag, judging by the pocket shape, buttons, collar, etc., I am certain it is from the 50s or earlier. I would guess it's from around the 40s or 50s.

Even though it's been cut off, it's French black moleskin! It has that reliable coolness. I didn't feel it much when I was in my early twenties, but lately, as I've gotten older, I've come to deeply appreciate how cool black moleskin is year after year. Haha.

Since it's such an expensive item that I would never have the heart to do this myself, I'm thankful to the person who cut the sleeves off. Haha.

It's a larger size, so I think I'll be able to have a lot of fun with it.

This time, I tried layering it over a rider's jacket!

This is really stylish; if it doesn't sell, I want it for myself and want to wear it hard.

There is some dust from the air on the back from when I took the photos, but it is not a stain!
