French Navy sailor pants.
Two pairs in an excellent small size.
I completely forgot to put these out... these are incredible favorites I found in Paris this spring.
The fabric is just wonderful, a cotton with great body.
It's a military fabric with a soft yet durable texture.
I’ve worn US Navy sailor pants before, but
this is my first time with French ones; they aren't overly wide, but have a cool, straight, thick cut. I was won over by the beautiful, straight tubular silhouette that goes all the way to the hem.
At the waist, there is a pass-through slit and a separate, large pocket.
Looking at vintage photos of French Navy personnel wearing these as summer workwear, these military pants were generally intended for large men, so
it is truly rare and exciting to have come across such small, women's sizes originally for petite youth.
There is a mil-spec stamp on the waist, and this pair was manufactured in 1959. It’s surprising that they are 60 years old, but they don't feel dated in the slightest—a phenomenon that often occurs with military surplus.
The fabric design and size are almost identical despite being manufactured a few years apart. The buttons are slightly different, so please take a look and compare.
Neither pair shows signs of much wear, and they are in excellent condition with no stains.
White military pants are truly precious—if the size fits, please don't miss out. If they don't sell, I'll wear them for the rest of my life. Haha.
