1950s Rayon shirt

50s rayon gabardine shirt.

An incredible color, condition, and size. Truly mesmerizing.

It’s a little beat up, which gives it such an amazing vibe.

I can tell from the way the damage has formed that it was well-loved.

I say that because I’ve been a fan of rayon shirts for a long time and have bought many over the years; I still own most of them and have been wearing them for nearly a decade, and they’ve worn in almost exactly the same way as this one. Haha.

There are no stains, but the parts that experience stress when worn frequently have become frayed.

I feel such a sense of kinship with this piece. Haha.

I got it from a friend of mine who is a dealer in Paris.

I usually wear rayon shirts even in the height of summer, and since they are so comfortable, I’m really looking forward to wearing this one every day this coming season.

Anyway, it’s just so cool. I think it’s the kind of garment that once you buy and wear, you’ll be completely hooked. Haha.
