A 1960s-70s French modernist bangle.
While the brand or maker is unknown, this beautiful piece by a French silversmith reflects the mid-century, sci-fi trends that were popular at the time.
It has a substantial, heavy feel, and there is something delightful about the "presence" of an accessory weighing over 50g when worn. Haha.
I have polished it thoroughly, as the plump surface is truly beautiful.
It catches the light across a large surface area, giving it a glossy and truly stunning look.
The underside has oxidized to a black patina, but since it is not visible when worn and does not touch the skin, I have left it as is.
It is a hook-style clasp that opens and closes from one side of the motif.
Please be careful on days when you are very active, as it may come loose if subjected to vigorous movement.
