60s-70s German object or vase

Yellow that stands out against a rich, dope blue.

It’s a piece of pottery I fell in love with at first sight.

Generally speaking, many ceramics and designs from this era were made in West Germany, largely due to the high volume of production there at the time and the existence of large, well-known companies.

However, I recently traveled to Hungary and discovered that they were actually produced there as well, and also in the former East Germany (VEB)... haha.

Usually, you can identify the origin if there’s an embossed stamp on the bottom, but this one doesn’t have one. There are many unknowns like that, which makes it interesting.

It is said that for ceramics from this era, there were various artists working in different locations like West Germany, East Germany (VEB), the Czech Republic, and Hungary, so there apparently remains much that is unknown about the specific details.

Even among collectors, opinions seem to be divided—some say it's West German, others say East German!

It’s deep. I love things like that. haha

That said, since this style was a German trend from the post-WWII 50s to the 70s, I have a feeling this item might be from Germany.
