A vintage sheepskin short fur coat.
While it is a luxurious and warm winter coat made of genuine mouton, the real star here is the collar.
It’s a sage mint color that is quite unusual for its era. It’s just too cute. And so ennui.
The body is made of curly, sheared sheepskin that has thickness, making it truly very warm.
It has the weight typical of real fur, but it's not so heavy that it becomes tiresome to wear.
Because of that, it's so warm that you don't need to wear too many layers underneath; it’s an ultra-cold weather garment that allows you to travel light once you head indoors.
I think a thin cashmere knit would be enough.
It also features a satin lining, making it incredibly comfortable to wear. It has a generous width, with a loose fit suitable for sizes 38-40.
If this coat had been a solid black or had a brown collar, I probably would have passed it by,
but the fur collar in this color removes any sense of staleness, making it a piece of authentic vintage that looks surprisingly modern.
The front features a concealed button placket, with a sturdy hook closure at the very top that is sewn on securely. Excellent condition.
It’s an A-line coat that doesn't flare out too much; I feel like pairing it with tights or shorts. It would definitely be cute with boots, but I’d dare to wear it with low shoes. Heels would be nice too.
