Hans Hansen silver earrings from before the 1960s.
A drop design featuring a bean-like base connected to a fan-shaped top that sways.
Designed by Bent Gabrielsen, a silversmith and designer who worked for Hans Hansen at the time.
The exact year of production is unknown,
but as he worked at Hans Hansen until 1969, the title has been labeled as such.
As is often the case with Nordic jewelry, the age is not at all apparent from its appearance;
it is striking to see the unique aesthetic of Nordic regions, where silverwork was already being created as art before the war.
He was one of Denmark's leading artists who also worked with Georg Jensen,
and I highly encourage you to look at his other works as he has created many magnificent pieces.
While not present on these earrings, there are pieces with his own original hallmarks,
making this designer jewelry very difficult to acquire.
