70s-80s GDR checkered shirt

A unique 70s-80s East German plaid shirt top.

Features a cotton plaid shirt fabric with sleeve cuffs,

and a stretchy black turtleneck.

It’s made of that jersey-like material that snaps back to your neck once you pull it over your head.

For some reason, it also has tags and buttons like those found on German workwear.

The sizing suggests it's for women, but it’s quite a rare piece.

The small, compact fit is lovely; a great mid-layer for autumn and winter.

Subtly, this is one of my absolute favorites.
