A reversible blouson from Yves Saint Laurent, dating back to the 70s-80s.
This piece is incredibly cool.
I’ve never really been drawn to Yves Saint Laurent, and it was a brand I personally found a bit lackluster, but this jacket completely pulled me in.
I bought it in France last year, and since it was cold at the time, I saved it to enjoy until spring.
It has a rugged, yet sexy and sporty vibe that's hard to describe in words, but it’s just plain cool. The fabric is also exceptional.
The navy side is 100% cotton, and the red side is a cotton-poly blend. Both are thin yet tough, high-density, and high-quality fabrics.
Perhaps because it was well-cared for, it has faded overall, which only adds to the atmosphere.
It was difficult to capture the colors perfectly, but it is a faded eggplant color and a faded red.
The size is a generous L~XL, which is great for throwing on casually.
The leather patch on the chest remains in beautiful condition, and despite signs of wear, the zipper works smoothly and the overall condition is excellent.
I feel like I finally understand a little bit why this brand is so highly regarded. Haha.
A piece for the connoisseur; I highly recommend it.
