I've been looking into Czech glass quite a bit lately, and I’ve realized that there are an overwhelming number of ashtrays.
I truly believe Czech people love smoking. While smoking bans and segregated smoking areas are strictly enforced in Europe and North America, the general feeling in the Czech Republic seems quite similar to Japan.
This piece was made in that smoke-loving Czech Republic (then Czechoslovakia). I have the impression that 1970s Czech glass, in particular, often features strangely interesting color schemes.
I think it’s a unique item that would suit any interior or setting.
Actual size: Because the overall shape is quite wavy and irregular, please see the photo with the measuring tape.
Weight: It weighs about 900g and has a solid, heavy feel. I don't think it would blow away even if you used it outdoors.
