A black mini dress from Courrèges in the early 1970s.
A precious archival piece from my absolute favorite era of Courrèges.
The silhouette of the garment, which embodies French chic, and the aura it radiates—
it truly feels like a playful girl who just stepped out of a Godard film, which I find irresistible.
While it follows the linear lines of the Space Age collection that Courrèges debuted in the mid-60s,
its simple black color, minimalist design, and slightly longer knee-length hem give it a sense of abundant elegance.
Truly, as a girl, this makes me want to wear more cute clothes and get all dressed up! Haha.
Despite the straight lines, it is a wonderful dress with an excellent pattern that beautifully highlights the natural female form.
It looks great with flats or long boots, or even with an unbalanced style like tights and mid-calf boots. And of course, it can be worn on its own in the summer.
Although there is no quality label, it is likely a wool blend, a material that can be worn across all seasons.
The belt that overlaps the zipper on the back can be unbuttoned when worn.
Size "A" is equivalent to a modern 36-38, so I recommend it for those who wear a size S.
