A beautiful Bohemian glass bowl tray from 1960s Czechoslovakia.
I never tire of looking at it. It features the beautiful, colorful marble patterns characteristic of vintage Czech Bohemia Glass.
This bowl has a "vitamin color" palette of pink and lemon yellow, with orange at the base.
Because the colors are infused into the thick, unevenly curved glass,
it is a beautiful object that takes on various expressions depending on the viewing angle and how the light hits it.
It can be used to hold small items like keys or accessories, or it makes a strong statement just by sitting on a surface.
I recently purchased a collection of these from an antique shop owner, and they taught me quite a bit—apparently, this is a work by the artist Josef Rozinek from the 60s. I had been introducing them without knowing that until now (laughs).
Among the various types of Czech glass, his unique sense of coloring is truly wonderful.
Coupled with the substantial weight of the glass, the piece is even more stunning in person than in the photos.
I was lucky to find a collection of them, but this level of Bohemian glass has become increasingly difficult to find in recent years.
Among professional antique dealers, it is highly valued and traded alongside pieces like Italian Murano glass.
Also, as shipping costs from the Czech Republic have increased this year, I have had to reflect that in the price, so please forgive the slight increase.
