1970s German shag carpet

It’s been a while since I’ve come across a rug of this size!

A 1970s German pile rug.

It has a plush pile that is 3cm thick.

Distinct from antique Middle Eastern wool rugs,

this rug’s charm lies in its soft, voluminous texture.

With an off-white base and a color palette of vibrant blue and near-fluorescent red,

its Nordic design gives off a Scandinavian feel.

The vermilion and white border trim is also incredibly cute,
