70's German wool rug

A 1970s German mid-century style carpet.

The tightly woven wool texture and thickness

are characteristic of hand-woven carpets from this era in Germany.

This carpet is exceptionally thick and feels wonderful.

I love this category as they come in such a variety of patterns, colors, and sizes.

Perhaps there were kits available in Germany at the time that made them popular to craft,

or maybe it's simply because so many people had hand-knitting as a hobby,

but I get so excited when I find one in a great design and condition.

This one has a lovely color scheme, with a beige base

incorporating orange, yellow, green, and black.

I really love rugs that feature black.

The size is also a kitchen mat size, which is the most versatile and always popular.

It is in good condition, and is a carefully crafted handmade piece, complete with a finished lining and piping.

Condition - Excellent condition

It has been washed at home once. For maintenance, I recommend removing surface dirt and air-drying in the sun. If using a washing machine, please use the delicate cycle and preferably place it in a laundry net.
