70s Indian cotton dress.
I think this is one of those vintage pieces that has become remarkably hard to find recently.
I used to see them quite often in vintage shops, so I had a classic image of them, but
I'm reminded again of just how adorable this dress is.
I’d love to wear it in a classic way, like with western boots or as hippie festival wear.
A bohemian print with intricate patterns like small flowers and animals on soft gauze cotton.
Personally, I’m so happy with this purple-pink color—it’s spot on for Indian cotton.
And above all, this fabric. It’s soft cotton that’s gentle enough to wrap a newborn baby in.
The sense of freedom, as if you’re wearing nothing at all, is truly addictive once you put it on.
It’s a cool fabric, perfect for summer.
It’s thin enough to be sheer, but the transparency is only in the sleeves;
there is a lining from the chest seam down, so your underwear won't show through. Thank goodness.
To be candid, when I returned home last time, I saw one at a famous vintage store and was shocked to see it priced at well over double this amount,
but I’ve priced this one lower because it has some light stains.
This is the only vintage Indian cotton dress I’ve come across in the four years since starting TOTO, so
I truly think this is an item that is getting difficult to find. If you like this style, I highly recommend grabbing it while it’s here.

Condition - There are stains. Please see the last group of photos following the lining photo. There are stains on the right sleeve and the front pleat section.
