I love the light blue of the sky.

It is quite large; I placed a record next to it for scale.

It is a wall hanging, but I love this latch hook piece for its unique 3D texture, which sets it apart from a standard painting.

The collection I’ve gathered this time was made using a technique called latch hooking from the 70s to the 80s.

Originally, kits for knitting high-quality household rugs at home had been circulating since the early 19th century.

From the 30s to the 60s, because high-quality carpets were expensive, these kits evolved both for the purpose of DIY and as a popular hobby.

As entertainment options increased and carpets became cheaply available through mass production in China and stores like IKEA, this practice became less common.

However, pieces from the mid-century era of the 60s and 70s are known for their psychedelic and futuristic funk art.

By the 80s, the culture shifted from floor rugs to wall hangings featuring pictures of animals and characters.

This piece is made of high-quality wool, is quite thick, has a substantial weight, and is wonderful.
