My favorite pair of trousers that I’ve been holding back on.
At first glance, they look like simple black and white side-stripe pants that could almost be new, but personally, there are so many details that really grab me.
The design is very mode-forward, but they are actually from around the 80s, and the quality of the hardware—like the zips and buttons—really elevates the overall vibe.
It’s also curious that they feature Eclair zips, which are often used by luxury brands like Louis Vuitton; in my experience, whether it’s clothing, shoes, or bags, items with these zips are almost always made by high-quality manufacturers.
The fabric is also magnificent; it’s not just ordinary cotton, but a high-density cotton with a slightly crisp texture.
The tag is missing, but based on my experience, the fabric quality is very similar to the high-quality, high-density cottons often found in Italian pieces from the 80s and 90s.
I know I keep saying this, but while this design might seem easy to find in a new item, being able to embrace it through a vintage piece is the best part. That’s exactly what I love about German manufacturers—they make clothes that offer this kind of discovery.
You can tell from every detail that they were made with care, to the point where it’s a shame the brand tag is gone.
I usually don’t pay attention to brands and just introduce things I think are good, but I really wanted to get an answer on this one. Or, if it turns out to be a great brand I haven't heard of yet, I’d love to know. Haha.
The item is truly excellent, so I highly recommend these to anyone whose style and silhouette preferences match, and who can fit the size.
The length is on the longer side, but they feature a rare straight silhouette—not tapered, not wide—so even if you hem them, it won’t ruin the look. Highly recommended.
