Special cotton trousers from CLOSED in the 80s.
Man, these are incredibly cool.
First, they catch your eye with those deep, protruding gusseted zip pockets,
and the small, separate pockets placed just slightly below them
feel somewhat like a sampling of Italian Air Force trousers.
Then there is the thick, stitched-down center press running straight down the middle.
They have a slim silhouette, but it’s a gentle taper rather than a full-on skinny fit.
Such a killer design and such a beautiful silhouette.

As those who have been following us for a long time know, the CLOSED we revere
is a brand rooted in denim, established by Marithe + Francois Girbaud.
According to various accounts, their roots go back to '68, spanning over 40 years of history,
but regardless, this brand makes the absolute best trousers.
These are not the brand’s traditional "pedal pusher" or "X-pocket" designs;
it’s a design I’m seeing for the first time. It’s from their "BASIC" line.
